Katarina began skating at the age of five old. She was able to prove her skills and get into the Karl-Marx-Stadt special school for gifted children. The coach Jutta was also in attendance. Witt made her mark in the second position she placed in the 1982 World Championships, held in Copenhagen. Since then, her elegance and grace have caught all the attention of people.
